Short Course Description

Rational: The course will combine lectures, case studies and guest lecture on selected issues of operational issues during disaster events, logistical and technological aspects.
Goal: Providing the students with basic terms, tools and understanding on the operational issues, logistic and technology regarding disaster management. The course is including three topics:
1. Operational issues regarding preparedness and response at different levels as needed before, during and after the emergencies and disasters.
2. Logistical issues required for dealing with disasters. Analyzed in this part of the required logistics solution various disaster events.
3. Technological aspect that will include analysis of how technology can help dealing with disasters, as well as its potential to help terrorists plot.
