Short Course Description


Course Topics:
The M.DM. program combines a wide range of relevant issues that are relevant to manage disaster. Risk & crisis communication is an important element during the preparedness phase and during the response phase. Risk and crisis communication is one of the most important issues to prepare the population and to respond to emergencies and disasters. This course will deal with risk & crisis communication at the preparedness and response phase. This course will also include a workshop of preparing and conducting an interview.
Course objectives:
To expose the students to the field of risk & crisis communication and provide basic tools & terms. At the end of the course, the students will be able to prepare messages and deliver them to the media, and to understand how to effectively use crisis communication during a disaster.
