Short Course Description

The course provides a 'toolbox' for students in the zoology and ecology tracks and includes lectures and practical exercises in various topics, including scientific communication, time management, scientific writing, preparations of talks and posters for scientific conferences, writing a CV, application for fellowships etc. The main assignment is writing and presenting your research plan. Students receive feedback from other faculty members (other than their supervisor) on the written research plan and its presentation, and are exposed to diverse studies and research methods in the relevant fields.

Course requirements:
- Attendance in all course meetings
- Submission of a written research plan
- Presentation of the research plan in a TED-like event towards the end of the semester
