Short Course Description

Overview of the principles of various physical measurement and characterization methods, with examples in biology.

The discussion will mainly focus on:
- Low and medium resolution methods
- Spectroscopic methods: absorbance, scattering, and fluorescence
- Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)
- Atomic force microscopy
- Crystallography
