Short Course Description

Description:
1. Structure, dynamics, packaging and replication of DNA; RNA structure; DNA damage and repair.
2. The transcription process; Transcription control in bacteria and eukaryotes; Transcription factors; chromatin regulation of gene expression and epigenetic.
3. The splicing process and its regulation; Eukaryotic mRNA processing; mRNA quality and stability; regulatory RNAs and mechanisms of regulation; ribosomes, the genetic code, Translation and its regulation in prokaryotic and eukaryotic.
4. Experimental methods in modern molecular biology; OMICS, Gene cloning; expression vectors; Genetic engineering and genetic therapy.
