Short Course Description
The laboratory will include the following subjects:
? The fundamentals of cell research experimenting.
? Methods of cell culture and the effects of the environment on the cell culture.
? The effects of the growing conditions on the creation of intracellular organelles and regulation of the cell cycle.
? Cell signaling.
? Communication between the cell and its environment and the internalization mechanism of a receptor ligand.
? Experimental approaches to diagnosing and isolating molecular markers of the cell.
? Separating cells by membranal markers.
? Using Western Blot for cellular diagnosis and identification.
? Using RT-PCR for cellular diagnosis and identification.
The lab will take place on the first half of the semester, and will last for 5 weeks.
Adjustments are made every year according to the TAU?s academic calendar.
