Short Course Description

In this course we will study different topics in genetics and genomics of bacteria.
We will focus on different modes of regulation of gene expression (specific and general), and how it aids bacteria to adapt to different environments and stresses. We will study methods to investigate function and structure of genes and mobile genetic elements (bacteriophages, transposons, integrons, plasmids, endonucleases and more), and general methods to study bacteria, genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics.
