Short Course Description

OFDM and MIMO are the most important technological building blocks of modern wireless communications systems.
The aim of this course is to present these technologies in a way that is not based on Information theory, but rather on basic principles and tools of probability, detection and estimation ? from the perspective of a modem design expert.
The course will provide graduate level students with the tools to thoroughly understand OFDM MIMO which are underlying the most advanced standards (LTE, LTE-A, 802.11ax/be, 5G).
The course will present advanced OFDM MIMO transmission and reception algorithms (such as Beamforming and Spatial Multiplexing).
