Short Course Description
History, present, and future directions for mechanical engineering. How do we get from physics, mathematics, and engineering sciences to developing engineering products? Selected lectures from the following topics: energy, structures, aeronautics, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, material science, environmental engineering, ocean engineering, systems engineering, computational mechanics, robotics and MEMS, biomedical engineering
The lectures are delivered by industry practitioners and faculty members.
A hybrid course in planned that will follow the health instructions. Mostly remote learning, inverse class, students lectures on small study projects combined with limited class activities.
