Short Course Description

Credit points: 3.5
Prerequisites: Dynamics of Rigid Bodies, Mechanics of Solids (2).
Vibrations of a system with one degree of freedom. Response to cyclic loading and general loading. Resonance. Shock spectrum. Shock absorbers. Discrete systems with several degrees of freedom. Natural frequencies and natural modes of vibrations. Orthogonality. Modal analysis. Free and forced vibrations of systems with several degrees of freedom. Introduction to vibrations of continuous systems.
