Short Course Description

This course discusses the important ways in which the zooarchaeological record of historical periods in the southern Levant can contribute to our knowledge of "biblical animals", that is, animals that are mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. It will focus on animals in historical periods of the southern Levant, in their economic, historic, and environmental settings. The course will include lectures, reading and discussing in class.
