Short Course Description

Course description
This course provides students with an understanding of the major principles, theories and tools that are the basis for environmental law and regulation. Students learn about the history and development of environmental law globally and locally, discuss its justifications and effectiveness and recognize its limits. Through case studies, the students critically analyze a range of environmental issues including air pollution, nature protection, coastal and marine pollution, hazardous substances, climate change and more.
