Short Course Description

This course on Climate Change covers mainly the Science of Climate Change. The scientific basis for why our climate has changed in the past, and what is causing the changes we are observing today. We will learn about the main drivers of the climate, from our Sun, the oceans, the biosphere, cryosphere, as well as what climate models tell us about the future of Earth's climate. We will discuss what we know and what we don't know about global warming, and what solutions are available to us to mitigate future warming. The students will chose a topic close to their field of expertise to research one aspect of global warming and climate change. The final grade will be made up of an oral presentation and a written final report.
