Short Course Description
The laboratory in physiology and neurobiology introduces students to key principles and hands-on methods in sensory and neuromuscular physiology. The course combines electrophysiological recordings with experiments examining neural and muscular activity, sensory processing, and human EEG and EMG. Experimental systems include recordings from the desert locust nervous and sensory systems alongside non-invasive recordings of human physiological activity. The work incorporates biological preparations, electrophysiological recording techniques, signal acquisition, and quantitative analysis of physiological data.
