Short Course Description

The course lecturers are Dr. Tom Ben Arye, Siddharth Bhide and Dr. Michal Halpert

The aim of the course is to provide students with the required knowledge and tools to join the growing fields of meat alternatives.
Cultivated meat: cell types, cell differentiation, cell culture, tissue engineering, bioreactors, cell media.
Plant-based meat: crop development for plant-based meat, processing methods, ingredients and product development.
Meat structure and composition, fermentation for meat alternatives
Entrepreneurial perspective and opportunities in the field.
