Short Course Description

The course will describe mechanisms of innate immunity against viral infections and ?arms race? between host innate immunity and viral immune evasion. Topics include, but not restricted to, sensing of pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) by pathogen-recognition receptors (PPRs), intrinsic immunity, interferon signaling and interferon stimulated genes (ISGs), TRIM proteins, HIV, respiratory RNA viruses. The teacher and the students will present selected topics and scientific papers. The class will be taught in English.
